Warranty period and conditions:
Certificate of Warranty
Lead Acid batteries require at least 12 hours to fully charge after each cycle(50% discharge). Batteries carry a shorter warranty period due to current insufficient and irregular charge cycles. WE URGE OUR CLIENTS TO INSTALL PROPER SOLAR SYSTEMS BY ACCREDITED INSTALLERS TO ENSURE PROPER CHARGING.
Sales Batteries installed with inverters without a solar system – 12 months
Sales Batteries installed with the solar system by the accredited installer – 12 months
Rejuvenated Batteries – 12 months
PICTURES NEED TO BE UPLOADED ONTO THE BSI WARRANTY LINK TO CONFIRM SOLAR SYSTEM CONNECTION BY AN ACCREDITED INSTALLER. Pictures must include the solar system and invoice from the installer. The warranty has a duration as specified above from the purchase date or as specifically specified by the company in a formal written communication signed by the CEO.
Claims need to be submitted on the BSI website within 1 week of the failure of the battery. Warranties will be processed within 5 working days.
Battery Services International or its representative will replace the battery or refund the client the amount received for the battery, using a credit note upon approval of a claim.

These settings are paramount to protect your battery. This warranty only covers batteries installed with these inverter settings:

Please note that batteries should be charged at 10% of the capacity. The amperage should be set at 10% of battery capacity or as close to it as possible.
180Ah – 18amp to 20amp
190Ah – 19amp to 20amp
200Ah – 20amp
Maximum Wattage per hour at 10hour rating:
Lead acid batteries are designed to give 100% capacity over a 10-hour discharge period. More wattage used, as stipulated below, will result in decreased capacity of the Ah rating of the battery purchased.

These voltages are critical to ascertain that batteries are not overcharged and also that batteries last longer by not excessively draining the battery.
Any Charge voltages over the recommended voltages indicated above is deemed as excessive and will damage the Battery and will make this warranty null and void.
BSI WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY EXPENSES FOR INSTALLATION, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TESTS, CHARGING A BATTERY, LOSS OF TIME, OR OTHER EXPENSES THAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED AS INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
Exceptions:
This warranty does not cover failures due to poor battery maintenance, improper charging, insufficient charging, over charging, opportunity charging, wrong charger of wrong site equipment, broken and/or burned cells or any other mechanical and/or structural failure INCLUDING BULGING/ SWOLEN BATTERIES. It also does not cover ruptures, freezes, high and low-temperature exposures, explosions, fire, or Force Majeure events (acts of God). Battery Services International also acknowledges herein that this warranty does not cover any damages caused by this battery to employees or to any property.
Regrettably, all batteries installed with Mecer Inverters will carry no warranty.
Warranty void:
If the batteries purchased from BSI are added to another battery not purchased from BSI in parallel or series or an exciting bank of batteries not purchased from BSI the warranty will be voided. The reason for this is that the existing battery’s state of health is unknown and will therefore have a detrimental effect on the batteries purchased from BSI.
In addition to the abovementioned exceptions, all manufacturer operation manual instructions still apply, and will this warranty be void if those provisions are not kept.
